My experience in the military and production industry are my biggest
advantages. As a Navy Veteran I receive the highest quality training on a daily
bases from outstanding military members. As a military member I have been
placed in highly stressful and uncomfortable situations and had to learn to
overcome and complete the objective. Moreover, the knowledge passed down from
my leaders allowed me to see from a different perception. Additionally, my time
in the production industry allowed me to earn an unmatchable work ethic. When a task is assigned I am able to utilize
the valuable skills I have earned throughout my experiences. I am a very dedicated
individual with skills in many fields. Lastly, I believe that I have good
leadership qualities. Through my
experiences I developed the ability to lead others and myself. While in the
Navy I earned the Navy Marine Core Achievement medal during my time deployed
overseas.

Kim discusses my ability to be a good father to my kids. She hasn't experience me outside of my family so she brought up something different whereas everyone stayed focus on my qualities just as Justin did.
I believe that most of the people I know tend to see me as I see myself. Chris and Kel focused on my experience in the military and in the production industry. Justin and Kim looked at my qualities as a father and family man. And my wife focused on my dedication my goals in life. I believe that my interviewees are definitely correct about me. They view me as who I really am and I think highly of their opinion. As part one, I think I would add my dedication to my family.
Kyle,
ReplyDeleteI agree with your conclusion that you view yourself the same as your interviewees do. Being a family man is something that is awesome and I have not yet experienced but looking forward to one day. I have many friends who have joined the military and it really helped them view things from a different perspective than what they were used to so I can truly see the value in this type of experience. I wish you and your family the best!
Hey Kyle,
ReplyDeleteThe fact that your view of yourself aligns so well with the view that your friends and family have of you speaks volumes about your character. Strictly from a business perspective, your ability to think on your feet and calmly navigate stressful situations will undoubtedly benefit you in whatever it is you choose to do in the future. Honestly, though, I think that all of the traits that you identified in yourself--and that your friends and family confirmed--work together to make you a more complete member of society. A solid work ethic and dedication are some of the marks of a good man, and it really sounds like you've got that down pat. Good luck with whatever it is that you choose to do in the future!
Kyle,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your willingness to sacrifice yourself for us and this great country. I have had a few family members of mine in the marines and the air force and I have to say they are dependable and caring human beings who can be tough on you sometimes too. I liked how you said you can lead yourself, because I believe the only way you will be truly able to lead others is if you can lead yourself first. I did find it interesting how you put at the end that you would add your dedication to your family, but I feel your dedication in your first part covers your family too. Caring and raising a family is a great skill. The only criticism I have is on the length of your interviews. One question I used that helped me in my interviews was, what three words would you use to describe me as a person?. Then you can go on and ask them to share specific examples. Just a tip for your next interviews in or outside of this class. Other than that keep up the great work man.
